Hi Qihan! I really like your reflection, I think there's a lot of value in what we learned and implementing it in our lives and spreading those ideals. I also think that the media and articles were very useful and they gave a really good introduction to these concepts.

I really like the Dall E post! I would agree with your point Clare. I think the ongoing discussions every week really helped me refine my ideas and get a sense of other perspectives. I think approaching issues in this way is more beneficial and successful in the long run.

I really like this point. The amount of times I've seen people complain about messy lawns is frustrating! I think there is beauty in rewilding and that we just need to shift the public perception.

Hi Irina! I really like your points and really agree with the notion that we don't need to be afraid of nature. We are designed to be around it and it would benefit us to accept that.

This is true sadly. Death can bring such harmful thoughts and conditions even before its onset. I think your values for the future are really great though and I think is a much healthier and happier future for all of us if implemented.

Hi Hunter! I really like this post. There is a great sentiment that we need to accept when it comes to de-prioritizing the idea of cleanliness that has been served to us. Not to say that cleaning yourself is bad or unnecessary in any way, but that we need to reassess it like everything else. Not panicking and allowing our children to embrace the diversity in their microbiomes can actually benefit their health growing up. Using alternatives to soaps is also another key behavior that we can change too!

I really like the stern stance on banning single-use plastic. At the end of the day we are marching towards the fact that we will need to massively re-haul, rethink and redo all the things that we use for daily life.

I think that the "recyclable" label has really become a way for corporations to sidestep the issues with plastic waste and instead placate our concerns with waste and plastic pollution. Sadly this isn't enough and we need actual strong laws to take the next step, and as you said it; ban these plastic products.

I think you pose a very interest dimension to the possible solutions for the plastic problems. Using science and our understanding of manipulating matter around us can really grant us alternatives that can circumvent many of the issues that we have. I would add that bioplastics if implemented correctly could also include other parts of the environments and organisms can maybe even place a role in its breakdown.

I totally agree with your points and calls to action when it comes to this issue! I think the aspect of pushing the responsibilities and costs to the parties at play that actually are the producers of the waste is such a fascinating and interesting idea that if done right, this would incentivize them to confront and balance out the true cost of plastics and its popularity. Corporations only care about the bottom line and so if we attack that, we can tackle their interests.

I think you have some really good ideas! I agree that NGOs should shift strategies. In the long run, it's proven to be ineffectual and that actually sitting down and rewarding behavior might be more useful than just shaming the "best" actors in the industry.

I agree with this point. Strong laws are a major key to these issues. There need to be consequences for actions that actively endanger the environment and the communities around them. We can't just wait for this to happen though, we need to do as you pointed out and take direct action ourselves.

I agree with this! It's very pertinent that we deal with the main powers of this wasteful behavior and greed in order to even make a dent in the problem. It will be really challenging because there are so many loopholes and it's an uphill battle. But its a clear target that needs to be hit.

I think this is a really good angle of the issues regarding these issues. I think that vision for the future is a good one and should be what we move towards. I would add that I would imagine this behavior needs to be facilitated by governments and the overall community.

I really agree with your points. I think collectively there has been a really big effort to label all fires as bad which is understandable. But we need to make people aware that it is a natural part of the environment and that we need to use the information that we have and use it to better suit our needs.
