Hello Sumant, this was such a great reflection! I really like the format of this course too, I wish more courses were like this so we can focus our energy on the lesson as a whole and actually remember them for years to come!

Hi Sara, you brought up such an important point! I've forgotten a lot of my first year and second year content in math, physics, and chem since I didn't continue learning about them after the course ended. But for ENVR 430, I'll remember what I learned with Kai for a long, long time.

Hi Elle, we just listened to Harrison, Celest, and Sara present about their final workshop yesterday in ENVR 430! Their presentation was super well done and I would only imagine that the workshop was a blast!

That's so interesting! Yes, I think I said that a little too soon, what I hoped to convey was to stop unnecessary deforestation, but your point is so valid that I think I have to reconsider. In my mind, a utopian Earth would have a much smaller human population, and maybe in a few centuries we can achieve that :3

Hi Anna, Although I'm still a bit scared to eat dirt directly myself, I totally believe it's a great choice to let children be exposed to bacteria and pathogens earlier on, while they still have the immunity protection from their mother's breastmilk. This way, we can have a natural boost of health for the next generation.

Hi Sarah, this is a great post! In 2020 when UBC first shut down, I also saw coyotes on campus, one even got up close to my mum :) It is increasingly important to recognize we're coexisting with animals, even in urban communities!

Me too! I never knew that there was such a sustainable method as aquamation! We should really be advocating for these methods because they're cheaper and more sustainable!

Hi Bellie, Every time I go grocery shopping I am saddened that there is plastic almost everywhere. Individual actions are very limited, so governments and authorities should get to action and decrease the amount of excessive single-use plastics! Great job!

Hi Katie, I had a similar post where I also think certain types of plastic should be kept because they are useful to our lives. But single-use plastics are not needed at this moment on Earth.

Hey Shanzeh, I think this is super relevant because there may be more items like receipts that escape our radar and continue to harm us. I knew vaguely that receipts have harmful chemicals in them but the figure was still unexpectedly high. Great post!

I totally agree - I feel so frustrated when for-profit businesses do things and cause negative consequences for the consumers. It is super unfair and your solutions are a great step to start!
