The positive future I envision involves sustainability surrounding fast fashion. I want to be able to contribute to a more ethical and environmental friendly and to reduce hazardous waste due to fast fashion production. I do believe that overconsumption is largely due to boredom and the negative effects of overconsumption is not considered by many. An idea I have is to be able to refurbish clothes or fashion in a more sustainable way while keeping up with the new trends. We should support thrifting and the reusing of clothes long-term.

Hi Ravinder, I definitely love your idea on thrifting. It helps keep mass production of clothing low and ensures we make the most out of the clothes that already exist! There is no need to constantly buy new clothing!
Hi Ravinder, I definitely agree with your sentiments in regards to fast fashion. It has become a practice that has taken off in the past few years that needs to be reprimanded and rectified of its irrefutable damage. Investing in clothing for the long term rather that hopping on fleeting trends would help reduce this problem like you mentioned. I think an additional underpinning to the problems we face with fast fashion is the instant gratification it provides. As a result, I feel this problem needs addressing by the individual, corporate front, and general public as a whole.
Hey Ravinder! In what ways do you think we, as individuals, could reduce waste from fast fashion?
