I envision a world where large corporations are transparent about how their products are made, where the materials are coming from and how it impacts the environment. This open channel of communication between society and business would drive businesses to create thier goods while considering the environmental impact.
I value the honesty and transparency of buisness suply chains. The source of materials to create the goods we see in stores should be ethically sourced with the conservation of the environment as a major consideration.
A way to intervene in this situation is to implement laws that force large cooperations to be transparent with the production/supply chain of their goods. This way, businesses that do not follow sustainable methods of production would be held accountable. Supporting NGO's such as RESOLVE, who advocate for sustainable resources among many other projects, is another way to steer business in the right direction to a more sustainabe future.
