There are two main sources of food on Earth: land and water. For land, I understand that soil degradation is a serious problem in many places. Like the early farm in the biggest little farm. There is no cover, no nutrients, and no microorganisms on land. The soil looks like sand. From Kiss Ground, many farmers don’t really know the land operation mode, they may use pesticides and nitrogenous fertilizer to ensure their output, however, this is not a sustainable way to take the harvest. The chemical substations we use are consuming the land’s ability to generate food. The farm in the biggest little farm is a very good example that people and nature achieve a balance. I hope in the future, there are more of these examples. I hope there are more polyculture farms in the future.
For fishes, I like fish, and I know the number of some species reduce because of overfishing. However, I am shame that I never know that fish farming may also kill a big amount of wild fish. Maybe the government will make laws to force fishermen to release wild fish, like the laws to release small fries.

Hi S,
I liked how you incorporated this week's documentaries as tangible examples to the very real issues of soil degradation and overuse of chemical fertilizers and pollutants. I also hope that we will trend towards regenerative farming and polyculture farms in the future.
I agree a balanced farming practices must be adopted for a sustainable future
