I see a future where the general public is aware of the truth behind plastic recycling and strive towards using less plastic in general rather than relying on recycling. A value that people could keep in mind is using less in the first place will save us from the consequences in the long run. Only a small portion of plastic can actually be recycled, and the rest is thrown out in landfills, contributing to more waste and pollution. By informing the public of this via posts on social media or campaigns for companies to explicitly state this on their plastic products, people will be able to make more conscious decisions when using plastic products and reduce plastic use and therefore plastic waste.

Hi Ari! I agree, promoting plastic recycling rather than cutting down on plastic use feels like more of a "comfortable" or "short-term" solution rather than one that will benefit our planet in the long-run. Oftentimes the solutions that feel most uncomfortable for us as humans to facilitate are the best solutions in the long-run.
Hi Ari, i think ngetting rid of plastic as a whole is very important. So much of it breaks down and leaves a broken ecosystem.
Hi Ari - I completely agree that mindfulness and awareness surrounding the true nature behind plastic recycling is the first way to make change for the future!
Hi Ari, I agree that if people were more aware of the truth around recycling, they would be more conscious about the decisions they make surrounding plastics.
Hi Ari! I agree, creating campaigns or workshops through social media to educate people on how plastic contributes so much to landfills could potentially result in decreasing the amount of plastic use in our daily lives.
Nice post! I agree that too often, corporations try to emphasize recycling to protect their bottom lines, when we should be reducing our overall consumption.
