Supporting environmentally-friendly corporations can be hard when some organizations are not transparent about their policies and procedures. I envision a future in which all corporations are transparent about the resources that they use in making their products, as well as the steps they take to ensure that distribution is sustainable. I value honesty and accountability from corporations in trying to achieve this vision. Intervention-wise, I believe that companies should take inspiration from the shoe company Allbirds, who, on their website, state their carbon footprint contributions (shown in the image below), the materials they use to create their shoes, and the goals they will aim for to reduce their carbon footprint. If more companies followed this example, providing honest evidence of their environmentally-friendly practices on a website that is easily accessible for consumers to see, this would allow consumers to easier choose sustainable initiatives without fear of being misled.
