I envision a future in which forest fires are prevented from becoming widespread and deadly beyond natural occurrences. My values are rooted in the belief that we must prioritize responsible stewardship and community collaboration, making our guiding principle a shared commitment to protect our environment.
I believe that proper management (intervention) begins with proactive awareness and advocacy at all levels of society, encompassing government policies, local communities, and individual actions. Additionally, raising awareness about fire safety and prevention through educational campaigns is crucial, particularly in areas prone to such disasters on a global scale. Furthermore, I find it noteworthy to welcome Indigenous communities into conservation efforts including prescribed burning. Their traditional practices can be seamlessly integrated into modern fire management strategies. Collaborating between indigenous and non-indigenous communities is a pivotal step towards success.
